From casual fun runs to competitive 5Ks and even full marathons, our county offers something for every runner—whether you're lacing up for the first time or chasing a personal best.

Each event is more than just a race—it’s a celebration of health, community spirit, and small-town charm. With friendly crowds, well-marked courses, and plenty of post-run festivities, you'll find that running in Wells County is both rewarding and fun.


Chilly Chili Trail Run | February 1st 10 a.m.

Annual 3 or 5 mile trail run at Ouabache State Park - registration includes long sleeve t-shirt and hot chili

Earth Day 5k | April 19th 9 a.m.

Annual 5k run at Lancaster Park -keeping it eco-friendly with past event shirts, recycling old race bibs, no plastic- bring your own water bottles, live plants as post race awards!

Summer Miles Challenge | June 1st - August 31st

A virtual program to meet your summer goals and earn cool swag! Option of 150 Run/Walk Miles & 250 bike miles OR 500 bike miles.

  • Everyone who registers earns a Summer Challenge T-shirt

  • Earn a medal for completing your miles

  • Access to our Strava group to connect and share with other challenge participants.

Bluffton Parks 5 in 5k Series | 7p.m. June 3rd, June 10th, June 17th, June 24th, July 1st

Casual Fun Runs start at Wabash River Pavilion and follow along Wabash River Greenway- run or walk 4 out of 5 in series to receive your series t-shirt -$1 per date- no registration needed

Chicks Run 5k Fun Run | June 19th 7p.m.

Gather your gal pals for this “Just for the Girls” 5k held at Pickett’s Run Park- awards for top finishers, inspiring participants, largest teams, and the best costumes- cool awards and door prizes!

Recovery on the River 5k Run | August 24th 3p.m.

Scenic 5k run along the river in support of Tri Recovery! Tri Recovery is dedicated to supporting individuals recovering from addiction by fostering strength, resilience, and community through triathlon and endurance events. Your participation helps provide resources, training opportunities, and a supportive network for those on their journey to recovery.

51st Annual Parlor City Trot | August 30th 7:30 a.m.

Annual 5k, 10k, and half Marathon starts at The Bluffton City Gym. The course is flat and fast and winds through the streets of Bluffton, Ouabache State Park, and along the Wabash River on the scenic River Greenway. Half Marathon - Prize Money (1-3 overall & master), High Quality, Long Sleeve Event Shirts, Finisher Medals, All Distances Overall and Age Group (top 3) Awards.

Walk Steady For Rock Steady 5K/1Mile | September 20th 9:30 a.m.

Walk or Run in support of Rock Steady Boxing Bluffton & Help us fight back against Parkinson’s Disease!

Octoberfest 5K & 1 Mile Pretzel Dash | October 4th 3p.m.

NEW! to Wells County- Start at Pickett’s Run Park in Bluffton- beer stein finish line, pretzel eating contest, yodeling & German Music- receive beer stein & German socks with each entry. Stay for Bluffton NOW’s Annual Chili Walk at 5p.m. in Downtown Bluffton

W.O.O.F. Trail Run (5, 10, 15 Mile Events) | November 2nd 9 a.m.

WELL'S OUTRAGEOUS OUABACHE "FIFTEEN" (Because Well's Outrageous Ouabache Sixteen - WOOS, doesn't sound as good!) Finisher Medal & Long Sleeve T-Shirt Included & warm up with a HOT MEAL after your race.

Wobble Before You Gobble 5K Run/Walk | November 27th 9a.m.

Join us for this FREE lively run before you celebrate the holiday. Start is at the Bluffton City Gym - receive donuts at the finish! No Registration Required.

Santa Run/Jingle Jog 5K & 1 Mile | December 24th 9 a.m.

Run, walk, or just spread holiday cheer in your most festive wear! Jingle bells, santa hats, cookies & milk station- first 20 to beat the grinch win a holiday mug! Start is at the Bluffton City Gym 128 E. market St. Registration is $5
