Street Fair Traditions

Bluffton Free Street Fair known as the oldest and largest free street fair in the State of Indiana dating back to 1898.

You can find old friends and neighbors meeting up for a bite at their favorite local vendor booth or meet new friends at the many nights of live entertainment as you enjoy the new Downtown Bluffton DORA- Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area.

Don’t miss out on Ossian Days which is held the second weekend in September and features small town community comradery and a unique experience known as Bessie’s movement.

Fun for the Fall

Fall is quickly rolling into Wells County- you can see it in the trees as the leaves change color and in the fields as farmers harvest. Take a look at the upcoming Stauffer Farms Fall Car & Craft Fest which has quickly grown over the years to be a loved tradition by locals and visitors. On the same weekend you can attend the annual Bring On The Heat Chili Cook Off in Downtown Bluffton to celebrate ‘soup season’ !

Wells County is also home to Ouabache State Park (The French word that is pronounced ‘Wabash’) currently pronounced ‘O-bah-chee’. Explore the natural bison habitat and climb the Fire Tower.
