A New Destination for Fun, Fitness & Community

Bluffton is excited to welcome the Wells Community Aquatic Center, a state-of-the-art facility designed to serve residents and visitors of all ages and abilities. Located at 304 W. Spring Street, this is the only outdoor pool in Wells County and a vibrant hub for recreation, wellness, and community gatherings.

The new center will replace the 53-year-old Wells Community Pool after an engineering review revealed rapidly deteriorating infrastructure that could no longer meet community needs. In response, the City of Bluffton partnered with Wells County, local townships, and a multitude of generous donors to bring this vision to life. The Bluffton Parks Department secured multiple grants, and Jackson Construction Company began construction in August 2025, with a successfully short timeline, Grand Opening took place on May 25th 2026

The Aquatic Center is thoughtfully designed for families, fitness enthusiasts, and competitive athletes alike. Highlights include:

·       Heated 8-lane, 25-meter competition pool with lap lanes

·       Zero-depth beach entry and dedicated toddler area

·       Lazy river, aqua ninja warrior course, rock-climbing walls

·       20’ speed and serpentine slides, diving board

·       Water playground features and private shaded cabanas

·       Fully ADA-compliant pool house with family restrooms

·       Concession stand with outdoor seating

·       Three pickleball courts, new playground, and rentable pavilion

·       Year-round community/party room with kitchenette and AV

Visitors can enjoy open swim, swim lessons, lap swimming, diving instruction, and exciting competitions with the Wells Community Barracuda Swim Team. The facility will also offer pickleball lessons and tournaments, triathlons, private celebrations, and corporate events—creating a vibrant, year-round destination for recreation and connection.
